Marine Urea Water by Hasgara: Ready for the Sea

In the maritime industry, supplying a product is only one part of the challenge. The bigger challenge is delivering it when and where it is needed. A ship does not always wait at a port.

Sometimes, it is anchored in a designated area offshore. Sometimes, it operates far from conventional supply points. In these situations, having the right product is important, but having the right partner is even more important.

This is where Hasgara provides a different approach.

Besides producing AdBlue, Hasgara also manufactures AUS40, also known as Marine Urea Water, a specialized urea-based solution designed for large diesel engines used in marine and industrial applications.

Similar to AdBlue, AUS40 plays an important role in reducing diesel engine emissions. The difference lies in its higher urea concentration, making it suitable for applications that require larger engine capacity and higher consumption rates.

For marine applications, AUS40 supports emission reduction systems installed on vessels, particularly those equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology or exhaust gas treatment systems. Through these technologies, AUS40 helps reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and supports vessels in complying with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III emission standards.

Meeting environmental regulations is no longer only a requirement. It is part of the future of global shipping.

Hasgara understands that marine customers require more than just a supply of AUS40. They need certainty, flexibility, and operational support. That is why Hasgara developed an integrated supply solution.

For vessel customers, Hasgara provides AUS40 delivery together with pumping services directly into the ship’s storage system. This capability becomes a significant advantage, especially when vessels are not positioned at conventional port facilities.

The process is managed by Hasgara’s own team.

delivery process

Starting from transportation from the production facility, delivery using supporting vessels to the vessel location, and pumping the AUS40 directly onboard.

The customer does not need to manage multiple parties. The entire process is handled as one integrated solution.

Director of Operations Hasgara, Ivan, explained that the company focuses on providing solutions that match each customer’s operational requirements.
“For AUS40, we strive to provide the best solution based on our customers’ needs. We do not only supply the product, but also provide pumping services with equipment prepared by Hasgara. This allows vessel operators to have a more efficient process because our team manages the entire operation, starting from transportation from the factory by truck, delivery by vessel to the location where the ship is anchored, and the pumping process directly into the vessel,” said Ivan.

Hasgara produces AUS40 at its manufacturing facility located in West Java, Indonesia. Supported by distribution capabilities, Hasgara is able to serve customers across various regions.

To support different operational requirements, AUS40 is supplied using Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) tanks equipped with pumping equipment to simplify handling and transfer operations.

For Hasgara, AUS40 is not only about supplying marine urea water. It is about providing operational certainty.
It is about understanding the challenges faced by vessel operators.

It is about becoming a reliable partner when environmental compliance and operational efficiency must work together.
As the maritime industry continues to move toward cleaner operations, Hasgara continues to strengthen its role by providing AUS40 solutions that combine product quality, supply capability, and practical field support.

From the factory in Indonesia to vessels across the region, Hasgara delivers more than a product. Hasgara delivers a solution.
